Earthport Appoints New President for Europe
Daniel Marovitz will lead the cross-border payment company’s European business
Earthport, the cross-border payments service provider has appointed web entrepreneur and banker Daniel Marovitz as President of Europe, effective immediately.
Daniel is responsible for the company’s European commercial operations, reporting to Hank Uberoi, Earthport’s CEO.
Daniel’s experience includes leadership roles in e-commerce, transaction banking, media and enterprise software. He spent eleven years in Deutsche Bank, more recently as a Managing Director and Global Head of Product Management of the Global Transaction Bank; he began at Deutsche Bank as head of the internet division and then went on to serve as Chief Information Officer of the investment bank. Most recently, he was CEO of Faculty of 1000, a software and data publisher serving the biomedical world. Prior to that he was CEO of buzzumi, a start-up technology company he founded in 2011. Daniel is a founding member of SWIFT’s FinTech innovation initiative, Innotribe.

Daniel is the latest announcement in a string of recent senior leadership team appointments that include Mia Shernoff, Head of Marketing, Sajeev Viswanathan who was appointed Earthport’s President of Global Strategy and Jorge Moran who joined as a Non-Executive Director.
