Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP has appointed two new partners following continued growth and investment in its audit practice.

Diane Campbell and John Perry join the firm with significant experience in dealing with international audit clients. Both have worked overseas in Canada and New Zealand respectively.

Diane Campbell joins BDO in London from BDO’s Vancouver office. Having originally trained at BDO in 1986 and becoming a partner in 2000, Diane makes her return after six years in Canada where she gained experience of the North American market.

John Perry joins as an audit partner in the financial services team at BDO. He joins from PKF Littlejohn and prior to that held a number of roles in KPMG’s insurance practice in both the UK and New Zealand.

The appointments follow BDO’s annual results announcement earlier this month, which reported underlying revenues of £405m and profit growth of 22%.

The audit practice was a significant area of growth, with revenues increasing by 8.3% to £143m in the financial year. The firm says it is looking to appoint 25 new partners in the next 12 months.

Paul Eagland, Managing Partner at BDO, commented: “The changing regulatory market, including the latest audit reform impacting Public Interest Entities (PIEs), continues to create new opportunities among our high growth, entrepreneurial client base.”

“We will continue to invest in attracting high-quality people. Both Diane and John have significant experience, both in the UK and internationally, and are committed to helping businesses and people succeed. We’re delighted to see them join our already impressive audit team.”
