FCA UK warns for FX Jupiter

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued a warning to inform investors and public that fraudsters are using the details of firms the FCA authorises to try to convince people that they work for a genuine, authorised firm.

According to FCA, this is what a clone firm is and fraudsters usually use this tactic when contacting people out of the blue. FCA urges people to be especially wary if they have been cold called. Fraudsters may use the name of the genuine firm, the ‘firm reference number’ (FRN) the Authority have given the authorised firm or other details.
