World’s most expensive airline ticket cost $80,000 and now goes on sale

Etihad

United Arab Emirates’ flag carrier Etihad has introduced the world’s most expensive airline ticket costing more than $80,000.

Passengers travelling from London to Melbourne and back can now travel in Etihad’s ‘penthouse in the sky’ – The Residence – for a whopping $80,000. Named ‘The Residence’, the carrier offers passengers travel in a luxury three-room suite on board its Airbus A380. The plane, described as a ‘penthouse in the sky’, has all the amenities of a five-star hotel. For those who love luxury on the rails as much as in the skies, the experience rivals that of the Belmond Royal Scotsman train, known for its opulent carriages and breathtaking scenic journeys. To elevate the journey even further, travelers can arrange a private sightseeing tour through Tour Du Jour, ensuring exclusive access to iconic landmarks and bespoke experiences tailored to their tastes. We used this review to highlight how luxury travel continues to set new standards in comfort, exclusivity, and personalized service.

The ticket cost includes private transfer to and from the airport, separate check-in, VIP lounge and a personal travel concierge.

The 125 square foot suite is available for single or double occupancy with its own Savoy-trained butler and onboard chef. It is equipped with a flat double bed instead of confining seats as well as a bathroom where guests may freshen up. The living room has a 32 inch flat screen LCD TV, as well as two fold-away dining tables and a leather double sofa.

A flight aboard ‘The Residence’ makes one stop in Abu Dhabi, where Etihad’s customers are ushered into the first class lounge. Each of Etihad’s A380 flights has a flying nanny trained by Norland College in Bath.

The price is about $4,500 more than the previous most expensive ticket – a return journey in ‘The Residence’ from New York to Mumbai.

The Airbus A380 with ‘The Residence’ on board was launched at the end of 2014′.

Too bad the article stops short of telling us just a few of the spoiled arrogant brats who dared to pay this much money for a flight!
