1. As Greek government officials expressed their confidence that a deal with the country’s creditors is close, top European officials indicated Tuesday that although there has been progress in negotiations, an agreement is unlikely before the end of the month.

2. The New York Stock Exchange, part of the Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE:ICE) global network of exchanges and clearing houses, today announced the NYSE Bitcoin Index (NYXBT), the first exchange-calculated and disseminated bitcoin index. Launching today, the NYXBT Index will represent the U.S. dollar value of one bitcoin unit based upon actual transactions occurring on select bitcoin exchanges which have been evaluated and meet NYSE’s quality standards.

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (‘CySEC’) has notified the public that has imposed an administrative fine of €8.000 to Reliantco Investments Ltd for the infringement of the Law which provides for the provision of Investment services, the exercise of Investment activities, the operation of regulated markets and other related matters.

4. UBS Group AG said its main unit will plead guilty to fraud in the U.S. for manipulating benchmark interest rates and pay $203 million in fresh fines after the Swiss bank violated an agreement that had allowed it to avoid prosecution.

5. Six of the world’s biggest banks will pay $5.8 billion and five of them agreed to plead guilty to charges tied to a currency-rigging probe as they seek to wind down almost half a decade of enforcement actions.Citicorp, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Barclays Plc and Royal Bank of Scotland Plc agreed to plead guilty to conspiring to manipulate the price of U.S. dollars and euros in settlements with the Justice Department announced in Washington Wednesday. The main banking unit of UBS Group AG agreed to plead guilty to charges related to interest-rate manipulation. The Swiss bank, the first to cooperate with antitrust investigators, was granted immunity in the currency probe.
