CySec announces the suspension of the authorisation of CIF ‘Asset Management Advisory Services (AMASS) Ltd’
The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySec), the Cypriot financial regulatory authority, has announced that:
The authorisation of the Cyprus Investment Firm ‘Asset Management Advisory Services (AMASS) Ltd’, number 167/12, is suspended, pursuant to section 26(2) of the Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law (‘theLaw’), due to suspicions of alleged violations of:
Section 6(9) of the Law for possibly conducting other business, beyond the services and/or activities stated in the Company’s authorisation, without receiving CySec’s permission.
The decision to suspend the CIF licence was taken due to the fact that the aforementioned alleged violation may possibly endanger the Company’s clients interests and generally the smooth operation of the capital market.
Within fifteen (15) days, the Company has to take actions in order to comply with the aforementioned provisions.
While the suspension of the authorisation is in force, the Company cannot provide/perform, pursuant to section 26(5) of the Law, those investment services/activities for which the authorisation was suspended.
