Three former Tesco executives are set to appear in court in relation to its £326million accounting scandal.

Carl Rogberg, 49, Chris Bush, 50, and John Scouler, 48, have been charged with fraud by abuse of position and false accounting.

As the supermarket’s then finance chief, managing director and commercial director for food, they allegedly failed to correct inaccurately inflated income figures for 2014, which were published to auditors, other Tesco employees and the wider market.

Rogberg, of Chiselhampton, Oxfordshire; Bush, of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire; and Scouler, of St Albans, Hertfordshire, are set to appear at London’s Southwark Crown Court today.
