Prices for commodities futures ended mixed Wednesday, with corn falling slightly while wheat and soybeans rose.

Corn for July delivery edged down two cents to $4.56 a bushel.

Soybeans for delivery in the same month edged up a penny to $14.83 a bushel and July wheat rose two cents to $6.15 a bushel.

Metals prices were mixed.

August gold edged down 20 cents to $1,244.30 an ounce. July silver gained three cents to $18.79 an ounce.

July copper fell four cents to $3.09 a pound. July platinum edged up 40 cents to $1,433.90 an ounce and September palladium rose 45 cents to $837.15 an ounce.

In energy trading, crude oil slipped two cents to $102.64 a barrel.

Wholesale gasoline fell a penny to $2.94 a gallon and heating oil fell two cents to $2.85 a gallon.

Natural gas rose a penny to $4.64 per 1,000 cubic feet.
