Swedish regulator warns against unauthorised firm
Finansinspektionen, the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, has published a statement in order to warn investors against dealing with unauthorised firms.
As a result, Glacier Bay Capital LLC has not received authorisation from Finansinspektionen and therefore is not entitled to provide financial services in Sweden. Finansinspektionen has not received any notification of cross-border activities from other EEA countries.
Reportedly, representatives from Glacier Bay Capital LLC contact Swedishinvestors and offer them compensation for investments in shares. Investors are asked to pay a fee in advance to receive the compensation. This appears to be an advance fee fraud scheme.
Glacier Bay Capital LLC has a website (www.gbcap.com) and has contact information for offices in San Diego and Hong Kong.
