Russia will be ready to join the G20 automatic tax information exchange program from 2018, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters Monday after a G20 summit.

“Now we have already prepared an order on automatic tax information exchange. Countries have agreed that starting from 2017, they will start joining this convention. Russia officially said that we will be ready to join this automatic information exchange mode from 2018,” Siluanov said.

Russia earlier started sharing tax details with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) bilaterally. The agreement will soon become multilateral and the exchange will be automatic, without requests, Siluanov said.

Siluanov said separately that G20 countries need united conventions for state debt restructuring to avoid having troubles which Argentina had when holders of a small share of the state debt destabilized the country’s debt market situation.
