Tradition chooses Azul Zing to increase predictability and lower latency across its trading platforms.

Azul Systems, the provider of Java runtime solutions, has announced that Zing, Azul’s Java Virtual Machine (JVM) will be integrated into Tradition’s trading platforms.

Tradition is the interdealer broking arm of Compagnie Financière Tradition and a provider of over-the-counter financial and commodity related products. Tradition intends to use Zing as a technological foundation to deliver predictability, high throughput and low latency execution.

Yann L’Huillier, Group Chief Information Officer at Tradition, said: “For a number of years we have been investing significantly in our infrastructure to ensure we offer our clients a best in class service. Azul is recognised within the financial services sector as a provider of technology which enhances performance and ensures a predictability of trade execution. Once we had successfully tested Zing and measured its clear benefits, it was an easy decision to make to incorporate Zing into our trading infrastructure.”

“It is widely recognized that with a conventional JVM, trading systems are not able to deliver consistent low latency with high scalability and certainty of execution,” said Scott Sellers, CEO of Azul Systems. “Zing removes the shortcomings of Java such as inconsistent response times and application jitter, thereby improving trade execution and ultimately overall profits. It also enables development teams at brokers like Tradition to focus on new capabilities and revenue opportunities, enhancing the overall value of the business.”
