SFC warns on unlicensed entity Wells Fargo Global Investments (Hong Kong) Limited
Regulatory Commission of Hong Kong, Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), has issued a warning to inform public for an unlicensed entity with the name Wells Fargo Global Investments (Hong Kong) Company Limited.
The address of the above company and its website is: Room B07, 23/F, Hover Industrial Building, 26-38 Kwai Cheong Road, Kwai Chung, New Territories, Hong Kong, www.fuguohk.com.
SFC informs that the above Hong Kong address belongs to the company’s secretarial firm, HK Dragon Flying Int’l Invest Consultant Limited. The website with the above domain name is not associated with Wells Fargo Bank, National Association, an SFC licensed corporation. The company falsely claims to be regulated by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the Financial Conduct Authority, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the Central Bank of Ireland.
SFC reports that Unlicensed entities often use names similar to legitimate companies to confuse investors.
