iSignthis Merchant UBO & PSC Verification service goes live with Borgun 

iSignthis Ltd (ASX : ISX / FRA : TA8) is pleased to announce that our Merchant UBO & PSC Verification service is now live with Icelandic card acquirer and issuer, Borgun.

The iSignthis service will allow Borgun to verify the identity of their ultimate beneficial owners (UBOS) and person of significant control (PSC) in order to meet the incoming 4th AML Directive (4AMLD).

As you may be aware, the introduction of the EU wide UBO transparency registers merely identify UBO’s and PSC’s – they do not satisfy the requirement of ‘verification’ of the person identified on the register.

Per the 4AMLD, re-verification is annual and/or based upon a risk based approach, for each natural person, be they a customer, UBO, PSC or trustee.
