Stock futures higher Tuesday
Despite mixed corporate earnings reports on Monday and ongoing tensions in Ukraine and the Middle East, investors were pushing U.S. stock futures higher Tuesday ahead of the opening bell.
Here is where major market index futures stood ahead of the start of regular trading (Last updated 3:20 a.m.) :

Nasdaq: +0.15%
In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei 225 gained 127.57 points, or 0.84%, to 15,343.28, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index gained 351.66 points, or 1.5%, to close at 23,738.8 and the Shanghai Composite index gained 21 points, or 1.02%, to 2,075.48.
European benchmarks were also higher. Britain’s FTSE 100 rose 0.4%, Germany’s DAX gained 0.59% and France’s CAC-40 gained 0.65%.
