Baker Tilly renamed RSM as firms adopt global brand

Baker Tilly

One of the UK’s largest accounting practices is to change its name as part of major image shake-up at the international network it joined last year.

Baker Tilly, the UK’s seventh-largest firm, will become RSM after its global accounting network RSM International revealed the network will be adopting ‘RSM’ as its global brand name across all of its member firms worldwide.

Speculation has surrounded the Baker Tilly brand since it left its eponymously titled network Baker Tilly International to join RSM in April last year.

RSM commissioned an independent research firm to conduct an extensive study of member firms, clients and prospects internationally before it decided to adopt a unified brand in order to reinforce its global position.

Jean Stephens, CEO of RSM International, said: “Our clients are becoming ever more global as they seize new opportunities for growth. Leaders of entrepreneurial, growing organisations want advisers that take the time to really understand and care about their business and its drivers, both locally and globally. They want the highest level of service, a trusted relationship and ideas and insight that will really add value to their business. This is what we have been providing to clients for more than 50 years and we see huge opportunity for the development of our client offering and cross-border growth through moving to RSM as our one global brand.”

MHA MacIntyre Hudson replaced Baker Tilly in the Baker Tilly International network in October.
