Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP has appointed two more lateral hires taking its total of new partner appointments to 25 this financial year.

BDO has welcomed partners Duncan Lamb and Colin Haig who join the firm’s corporate finance and business restructuring teams respectively.

The firm set out to appoint 25 new partners in its 2016/17 financial year and has achieved its ambition with more than a quarter to go. Nine of the 25 were internal promotions, with the others joining from competitor firms.

Duncan Lamb joins BDO’s corporate finance stream following 19 years at Grant Thornton. Based in the firm’s Reading office, Duncan specialises in advising businesses and investors on mergers and acquisitions, with a heavy focus on private equity. He also has significant experience in the technology sector.

Colin Haig joins BDO’s business restructuring team in London following seven years at KPMG. Colin has more than 30 years’ experience in dealing with high profile administrations, liquidations and restructuring solutions for mid-market businesses, large corporates and public sector organisations.

Paul Eagland, managing partner at BDO, commented: “I take pride in that we continue to attract top quality advisers to our firm. The 25 partner appointments are reflective of our own growth ambitions, as well as those of the businesses we work with.

“Our clients want to work with commercial, like-minded people. Duncan and Colin have significant experience in helping businesses survive and thrive in uncertain times, and I welcome them both to our expanding team.”
