Is There Such Thing As A Stable Cryptocurrency?

Cryptocurrency coins

Bitcoin and its sister cryptocurrencies have rocked the world markets. The sheer volatility of the currency, with incredible, four-figure fluctuations daily, have tanked confidence in vendors. Take the example of the PC gaming delivery platform Steam, who stopped accepting bitcoin earlier this month as a result of the inability to pin down its trends.

The challenge investors are facing is how to turn cryptocurrency into a sustainable investment, whilst sparing blood pressure on the way. Cryptocurrency is effectively a forex market, and Forex is challenging but rewarding. Here’s a rundown of some of the more predictable crypto markets.

Tether

Tether is a cryptocurrency currently occupying 25th place in the cryptocurrency market cap league tables. Set up to give a more friendly face to the old money investors in the US market, it has found support from large banks and growth in those banks’ personal loan markets, which the Crediful has suggested is growing due to relaxed lending regulations.Tether has given investors reliability, as its creators have pegged it to the dollar.

Litecoin

Litecoin (LTC) has a long history, setting up in 2011 – making it a veteran of the market. Developed on an open source protocol, it isn’t managed by any central authority – unlike many other currencies. The result is a currency developed in a well-considered and ethical manner, providing a level of stability unseen in many other currencies. The strive for good standards have been driven from the founder down. Litecoin creator Charlie Lee sold his entire LTC stock, citing a conflict of interest and demonstrating his keenness for the currency to flourish in a sustainable manner.

Ethereum Classic

Another relative veteran, Ethereum Classic has been knocking about since 2015. It shares many similarities with LTC, such as open source roots and a focus on sustainability. However, it has been picking up price in a sustainable fashion in recent weeks, demonstrating an interest and trust in its abilities to play the crypto markets. However, the edge that Ethereum Classic has over other currencies is it’s low buyin cost – currently under the 40 dollar mark – and the fact it has cutting edge blockchain technology, currently unprecedented amongst the cryptocurrencies available.

Of course, there are numerous other coins out there. Cryptocurrency is by its nature flexible, and grows every day – the best way to get on top of the market is to watch it closely. However, you won’t do poorly by having a crack at these three coins.
