Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission: Beware of fraudulent emails
The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has issued an announcement to inform the public that emails are being sent by unidentified sources, illegally using the logo or the name of CySEC to seek payment of so-called outstanding sums to or from the Commission.
The CySEC stresses that it has nothing to do with the specific emails and that the official email address of the accounts department is accounts@cysec.gov.cy.
The Commission urges anyone who receives the abovementioned email or is in doubt about any relevant communication from the CySEC, to contact the Commission on the above email.
