The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (the “Commission”) announces the following, regarding the certification of persons employed by Investment Firms, Credit Institutions, Management Companies and Investment Companies of Variable Capital and regarding the Public Register of Certified Persons (the “ Public Register”):
The Board of the Commission during its meeting dated March 10, 2014 decided to extend the renewal period for registering at the Public Register without any additional charges, until March 31, 2014. The extension is provided only for 2014, which is the first year hat the renewal of registration at the Public Register is made necessary.
Therefore, those who wish to renew their registration are prompt to do so until March 31, 2014 in order to avoid the additional charges of 40 Euro. The renewal should be carried out as follows:
1. Complete and submit the following link form (Registration Renewal) via the e-mail address certifications@cysec.gov.cy.
2. In addition they have to pay the fee of €80 through jcc smart (https://www.jccsmart.com/ ) or send a cheque to the Commission at PO Box 24996 1306 Nicosia.
3. Should a person registered in the Public Register fail to renew his registration within the above deadline would have to pay an additional renewal fee equal to 50% of the annual registration fee, according to subparagraph 16(3) of the Directive (R.A.D. 499/2012) provided for in subparagraph 16(1).
