The Central Bank of Cyprus has published the basic aggregate financial indicators for the Cypriot banking and co-operative sector, for the fourth semester of 2013, which are based upon the Consolidated Banking Data (CBD) as follows:
Financial Stability Indicators

The European Central Bank and the IMF have published aggregate data and financial indicators for the banking sector of Cyprus, which are prepared and submitted under the above organizations by the Central Bank of Cyprus on a regular basis, and which are used for macro- prudential analysis purposes.

Consolidated Banking Data

Consolidate Banking Data(CBD) are used for macro- prudential analysis purposes, which is carried out by the European Central Bank/ European System of Central Banks. These include data of outcome accounts, balance sheet , asset quality and capital adequacy of the European Union’s banks . The above information is submitted semi-annually by the competent national banking supervisory authorities (central banks or other authorities) , including the Central Bank of Cyprus , for each Member-nations to cross-border and cross- consolidated level in order to allow a complete evaluation of all risks that threaten the stability of the banking sector.
The following tables include the basic aggregate financial indicators for the Cypriot banking and cooperative credit sector, which are compiled by the CBD. Portfolio quality indicators are published separately under the section of Licensing & Supervision.

Financial Soundness Indicators( FSIs)

The Financial Soundness Indicators(FSIs) have been developed from the IMF in collaboration with the international community, in order to support the macro-prudential analysis and to evaluate the strengths and vulnerabilities of the financial system.
The FSIs that are submitted to the IMF from the member-nations are being prepared under various methodologies, which are probably different for each time period regarding the same country. Therefore, the users of those data are advised to consult the appropriate meta-data in order to obtain efficient information for any cross-border comparisons or correct evaluation of the development of the indicators for each country in time.
At this stage, the Central Bank of Cyprus has submitted the aggregate data FSI for the banking organizations which have been created in Cyprus to the IMF for a semester.
