Horizon Software, a Paris-based provider of front-end trading software, is planning the launch of an options trading system for the Chinese market, set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2014.

As China is about to launch equity index options on the China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX) and single stock options on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Horizon has announced it will offer connectivity to the two exchanges via the Chinese FIX-equivalent standard, CTP.

“We’ve had an active presence in China since 2013 and now count more than ten clients, including five of China’s top ten securities and futures houses among our clients,” says Horizon’s CEO, Jean-Marc Delfarguiel. “Our commitment to China is very strong and we recognize the huge potential of this market.

The Horizon’s trading solutions, which include options market making, Delta one and algorithmic trading, are the only trading products to be fully compatible with all the exchanges’ requirements.
“We are used to dealing with the specific requirements of the Chinese market and tailor our software to suit our customers’ individual demands,” adds Delfarguiel.

Horizon already provides connectivity to several exchanges in Europe and Asia and hae recently enabled low-latency direct market access (DMA) to the Moscow Exchange (MOEX).
