Digital currency exchange Coinbase stop operation in Hawaii

The Digital currency exchange Coinbase announces that it ceases operations in Hawaii after received a word from the Hawaii Division of Financial Institutions (DFI) back in September.

That time the DFI informed that Coinbase and other digital currency businesses will be required to maintain cash reserves in an amount equal to the aggregate face value of digital currency funds held on behalf of customers.

On a post on the blog of Coinbase, Juan Suarez (Coinbase Legal), informs for the Coinbase latest release and informs Coinbase’s Hawaii-resident customers to close their accounts within the next thirty days.
