OSC warns against unlicensed firm
The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) has become aware of an unlicensed firm and therefore has issued a warning against the firm to protect potential traders.
OSC informs investors that the company under the name “Global Proprietary Traders Inc.”, o/a Global Prop Trader, doing business as www.globalproptraders.com and www.globalproptraders.ca, is not registered to engage in the business of trading in securities or advising anyone with respect to investing in, buying or selling securities. The firm operates through its headquarters in Nassau, Bahamas.
The Canadian regulator advise investors to be extremely cautious on firms operating without a licence and thus to confirm that the company is regulated by the appropriate authorities.
