CySec on ESMA’s draft Regulatory Technical Standards
The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySec) issued an announcement regarding Issuers with securities admitted to trading on the Cyprus Stock Exchange or any other regulated market and any other stakeholder who is affected by Directive 2003/71/EC, for prospectuses and by Regulation 809/2004 of the European Commission, as amended, to the Consultation launched by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), with reference number
ESMA/2014/1186, on Draft Regulatory Technical Standards on prospectus related issues under the European Directive 2014/51/EU (Omnibus II Directive).
The said consultation includes ESMA’s proposals in relation to the Regulatory Technical Standards that ESMA is required to submit to the European Commission by 1 July 2015, on the following issues under the Omnibus II Directive:
- the procedures for the approval of the Prospectus,
- the information to be incorporated by reference in the Prospectus,
- the provisions relating to the publication of the Prospectus and
- the provisions concerning the dissemination of advertisements.
The Consultation Paper is available on ESMA’s website and also on the website of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, in section European Issues under News label.
Interested parties may provide their comments on the consultation paper until 19 December 2014, online at ESMA’s website.
